AGG SMART (connected to www.messagebird.com) has the facility to keep the customer up to date with their order via text message. Up to five text messages are sent to the customer per order. The text message is sent to the "Site Contact" mobile number entered in the quote. The five messages are:
On putting the quote onto AGG SMART
When adding a quote, if you click the "Send" button, once the quote is saved, a copy is also send out via email as a PDF. And the following text message is sent to the customer:
Thank you for your concrete quote from [COMAPNY]. Please call [COMPANY TEL] to book in with our friendly team.
This gives the customer an instant point of contact so they can call you back and book in the job.
On scheduling
When scheduling the job onto the calendar, it will have a status of "Unconfirmed". To confirm the time of delivery with the customer, click the "Confirm Job" button. You then have the option to "Confirm with SMS". This will send out a text message to the customer with the booked in time slot.

This keeps the customer updated with the arrival time as it may not be what was agreed on the phone. The text message can also have a fixed time, or a time slot (1 hour, 2 hours, etc).
24 hours before delivery
If the delivery is SCHEDULED on the calendar over 24 hours before it is due, then the customer will receive a text message 24 hours before scheduled delivery. These text messages are only send between 7am and 10pm (to avoid texts arriving at night).

On truck en route
When the truck has accepted the job and has left the yard and is travelling over 15 mph, a text will be sent to the customer alerting them their concrete is on the way. The text is sent with an accurate ETA worked out with traffic at the time of sending. We build in a 15 minute window to allow for a break or refuelling on route.
Your [COMAPNY] concrete delivery is on its way. ETA is 08:40-09:10
On job completion
Once the job is signed and completed on the tablet, a final text message confirms the delivery.

Controlling customer text messages
If you do not want customer text messages to be sent for a job, you can either leave the "Site Contact" mobile number blank. Or you can click the "Select" button and turn off the sending of text messages for this job.
