PLEASE CONTACT SUPPORT IF YOU HAVE NOT PERFORMED A FIRMWARE UPDATE BEFORE

You will need a micro SD card to make this update quicker. This is because you will only need to download the 11GB update once and then update all tablets with it. We would recommend a 16GB micro SD card such as this (a 64GB+ SD card will not work):

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-microSDHC-Memory-Adapter-Performance/dp/B073K14CVB/

  1. Download the following file to your desktop:
    https://www.aggsmart.co.uk/firmware/TomTom_PRO_827x_TRUCK_EU_v18.zip

  2. Unzip the file and copy to the root folder of the SD card. The SD card should have a folder on it called ttt and a file called rescue.img.

  3. Insert the SD card into the bottom of one of the TomTom units and then re-boot the device by holding the power key until you see the TomTom logo.

  4. When the TomTom re-boots, it will automatically install the maps and firmware

  5. Please remove the SD card from the TomTom (this is now ready for installing in the next unit)

  6. Once the firmware is updated please take it to the truck and connect it the LINK unit (with the ignition on). You should see the unit pair to the LINK unit with a car icon in the top left corner. If it stays with a red line through it after a minute, then it will need re-pairing to the truck. Instructions here: https://us.support.telematics.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3629/~/how-to-connect-a-driver-terminal-to-a-link

  7. Then connect the unit to Wi-Fi. Once it is on Wi-Fi and has been paired to the truck, click “Update” and the remaining apps will be downloaded (including “AGG SMART”)

  8. Once everything is installed, please run both the AGG SMART and AGG SMART Service apps. If you select “Settings” then “System bar” you can add the AGG SMART apps to the screen, they will ask you for permissions. Please accept them.

  9. If you are using sim cards supplied by FMC Fleettrak, set up the APN on the device by going to Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. Click the + in the top right corner and enter the following settings:
    Name:                 FMC
    APN: wlapn.com
    Username: FMCFLEET
    Password: FMCFLEET

FMCFLEET is uppercase. Please be careful when typing these in as any mistakes and it will not connect. Click the 3 dots in the top right and select “Save”. Make sure the “FMC” is selected as the APN in use.

  10. If you are using the Zebra printers, go to the “Print Connect” app. Click the 3 dots in the top right corner and select “Settings”. Select “File Storage” = “Local. Select “Local Storage” and set to “/sdcard/download”. Then turn on the printer and click the refresh arrows by “Discovered Printers”. The printer IMEI code should be displayed and you can pair to it.

  11. Go to “Settings” > “Display” and select “Sleep after 5 minutes” and UNCHECK “Switch Off Screen when Disconnected from Power”.

  12. Turn OFF Wi-Fi. Then go to the browser and make sure you can reach www.bbc.co.uk website to confirm the 3G mobile data is working.

  13. Go to “Settings” > “Apps” > “Browser”. Click “Disable” and confirm. This will remove the browser app from the tablet so drivers cannot access streaming services and clock up large data bills.

  14. All ready to go.
